The Deal with Food

For thousands of years, the Chinese believed that the natural remedy to an approaching illness, is food.  If an illness can be treated with food, then it should not be treated with herbs.  It’s true that herbs are stronger, but it may also be harsher to your system.  Herbal medicine can throw the body out of balance, and should be used when you’re attacked by real illness.  Food cures, though slow and incremental, can be consumed every day, many times a day, allowing you plenty of time to receive and adjust.  Slowly but surely, food cures can prevent the body from slipping toward disease.

Food cures are not for cancer, or liver failure, or brain hemorrhaging.  It works slowly, before the disease develops.  Or, while a fully formed disease is being treated with medicine, food cures can assist with recovery in a most gentle way.  It helps the body remain balanced, and ready to receive help, and to fight.
